A real rescue and rescuer

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
by Jay

A photo and caption was submitted a few days ago that I was quite touched by and I'm sure you will too. I thought it was worth a "honorable mention". I commend you Mary for the initiative you took and the great love you clearly demonstrated for Emmet.

DISCUSSION:

Please bear in mind when reading topics pertaining to health issues, that many of these questions were answered by helpful Maltese owners with no formal education in veterinarian medicine. When in doubt seek a professionals advise.

And what a handsome boy Emmet has grown to be. That is a wonderful story.
-Marsha A.

Sad story with a happy ending. Best of luck to you Mary and Emmet.
-Les

Emmet certainly is one Lucky Boy. To have the love and caring of Mary is certainly a blessing as I'm sure she feels the same about having him. Good Luck to you both.
-Robin D.

What a heart warming story. God bless Emmet and Mary.

Emmet is also famous for being one of the 'Cover Boys' for a pet clothing company called "Companion Road " that donates a portion of its proceeds toward homeless animal shelters. All of the different sweaters and coats have a different ' once homeless pet' on the front and its inspiring story on the back. The Products are really nice quality too. All of my doggie buddies on my Christmas list are getting something from this company this year as a matter of fact!

Belinda, who carries "Companion Road" products? Please post where they are available. Thanks.
-Jay

I just saw Emmet at PetSmart on these wonderful sweaters, but I didn't make the connection! Way to go Emmet!! (Jay, guess that one's place to try--our local PetSmart just got in a whole batch of them--many different rescues and their stories are written on the back of the package. The sweaters are darling, too!

Jay, And All- Cathy B. is right . I buy the Companion Road products at the Petsmart in Nashville. However, as I happen to have a couple of their items sitting right here right now ( Christmas presents for our "kids" dog buddies this year)I can give you their toll free number 1-800-806-1410, weekdays 8am to 8pm est. Good quality stuff in a large variety of styles, sizes and colors. The 'Pepper slicker' is a great common sense doggie raincoat-AND- it has a HOOD!! Keeps those long topknots and ears good and clean and dry! Hope this helps, Belinda
