Help- male marking inside

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
My 17 m0. neurted male,when visiting, lifted his leg twice,in their home.Only females, in their home,only one lives there. He never,has done this at home.What can I do to stop this? I think we might cancel getting a new puppy,until we get this problem solved. He loved being around other dogs, but did get nippy with a grown up, for no reason.We sure hate to be un welcome in others homes. Has anyone,had this problem,and solved it? Thanks.

Hi Terry~ My Cody is just over two years old now and began marking his territory when he was about the age of your little guy. I haven't been able to break Cody of this, and have resorted to keeping his belly covered in homemade "belly bands" that hold a section of absorbent baby diaper. He can't mark when it's covered! He has not been neutered because he has a five champion pedigree and I'm trying to sell him. If I'm not successful, everyone says that neutering sometimes helps, but not always. It will be a considered option for us.
