Dirty face?
by Marilyn
ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
What should you use to keep Hannibal's face clean. Just a wet cloth? What about Baby Wipes? What about trimming around the face?

DISCUSSION:

Marilyn, Hi there! I wash Bailey's face everyday with a Huggies hypo-allergenic and alcohol free wipe every day, and then wash it again with a very warm, wet washcloth. Then I just comb and brush the area until it's dry. This has worked very well for me, and I hope it does for you to.

Marilyn, I have tried everything! Wiping her face everyday - using "tear stain remover", using only water, using boric acid, and frankly nothing has worked completely. I started trimming her little face and that helps, but even that can only be done so often and so we still have some staining. I suppose it's o'k because at least I know she is clean and healthy.

What about the hair around his nose. Should it be kept short? He has some tear staining, but is in the process of losing baby teeth. Figure I'll wait and see. Thanks to Andrew and Bailey on dirty faces. I guess we just want them to look beautiful all the time.

Now that I have my new little boy (12 weeks old) we'll see how well Alpine air purification does at clearing up the tearstains. I'll let you guys know!

Hi everyone I have a 6 1/2 month old female. I wash her face everyday. I thought that it looked good. I took Orion to a dog show for her to see what the big girls do. A breeder there told me that she should have no staining at all. She also said that her food might have food color in it . I checked and it doesn't. I'm I doing something wrong? We wash everyday 2 to 3 times. I'm at a loss. Any Ideas will be much appreciated.
