Buster, good thing you are reminding everyone, cuz sometimes them animals that walk on two legs can be kind of forgetful. Oh, by the way, I'm still not sharing. Keep up the good advice. The toys and the treats are mine, mine, mine.

Okay, guys, the 15th of each month is a very important day at our house. We do all kinds of neat things cause it's all stuff we have to remember to do monthly. We pick one day and just do it. Heartworm medicine, change the filters, Mommy's contacts get replaced and, ahem, she does that check women are supposed to do to stay healthy so we won't miss 'em cause their gone cause they didn't check cause they forgot cause they didn't pick a special day and to think she stayed healthy cause of our heartworm pills.

I, too, am a 15th of the month sort of gal, and Luce and Carty get their heartworm pills absolutely, positively every month on that day. It just makes sense to me to do a simple thing (gosh, they don't even mind eating the darned things; I just substitute one "cookie" for another and they are fine) that will save our kids pain, suffering and maybe even death. Good reminder Buster!

You know, I just had a thought...I heard a long time ago that if we take blackstrap molasses, it puts iron in the blood, and naturally repels mosquitoes. I haven't tried it myself, but do you think it would be good for dogs too? (I don't know -- it must be icky-sweet though!)
