Missing Link

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
Missing LinkHi everyone, I am fairly new to this page and I have a question. Can somebody please tell me what is "Missing Link" and how is it works. I am hearing about this product a lot but I don't know what is the purpose of using it. My girls (Munchkin - 7 years old and Amber - 17 months old) and I love this page and it is nice to know lot more people like me (loves Maltese) are out there. Thanks. Have a great day!

DISCUSSION:

Zeyneb, Missing Link is a diet supplement. I heard a lot about it here on the internet and decided to try it. They advertise in Dog Fancy magazine. I got the kind you can feed to cats and dogs (I have 2 of each). One dog and one cat threw up the first time I gave it to them. I've been trying to get a refund ever since. They keep saying they'll send it, but it's been well over 2 mos and, so far, nothing. It's quite expensive. I think I paid around $20 for a month's supply.

We have been using Missing Link about 2 mos. My dog loves it! The first time I fed it to him we had a bad experience. As I gave it plain and we had to go and fish it out of his mouth. I called the co. and they told be to moisten the kibble with water I use 1/8 tsp and mix with the kibble. No problem since and I think it helps the eye stain. I give it only at night. Hope this helps.

My little girl had about a 2" by 2" bald spot which appeared after getting her spayed. She became very sick and spiked a high fever. Either she was left on a too hot heating pad,and not check, or high fever caused the baldness, either way multiple vets told me it would probably take about a year for the hair to start to grow back. Soooo I tried "missing link" and her hair started to grow back in just a few weeks:^)I feed all my furbabies it, with no bad side effects. I buy their meat...chicken or lamb, bake it in the oven with fresh veggies, then mix with rice, potatoes and missing link (and a dash of olive oil) they love it!

Hi Zeyneb, I think that Missing Link is supposed to provide the nutrients that wolf ancestors of dogs used to get when they killed their own prey. I have heard that the carnivores usually eat the stomach contents of their herbivore prey first (sorry, I know this sounds gross, hope no-one is eating!)I looked at the contents of Missing Link and decided that, between the kibble I am now feeding the Beasties and the stuff I cook for them, they are getting most of these nutrients anyway so I would only be wasting my money. If you are feeding canned food or a kibble which doesn't contain some of these nutrients, or if they have health problems, it may be worthwhile trying. They say it takes a month to see results.
