Why Can I stop my maltese beating me?

My new maltese puppy (8 weeks) likes play with me beating my hands, clothes, hair. I had tried to change my skin for its toys but "Turron" prefers beatin me. Help me, please. I love to hug it but it doesn't let me do it. (Please excuse my "english". I am not an english speaking one.

  I am glad to hear about your new bundle of fur! It sounds to me like your puppy is trying to be assertive/dominant. He wants to do what he wants even chew your hands. I would definetly start fixing this problem now. When he chew on your hand, yell "NO!" and replace it with a toy. If he stops and starts chewing on his toy then give him alot of praise. "Good Boy." If he doesn't stop I would gently roll him on his back and place your hand on his chest/tummy. Do NOT let him roll over he must lay there until he submits--give up and stops squirmming. This could be a couple of minutes so hold him firm but gently. When he DOES give up call his name and tell him he is a good boy!!

  You dog is thinking that you are just one of his littermates and wants to chew and play rough with you. DO NOT play tug of war with him (this tends to make dogs more aggressive.) He must know that you are the leader and he must obey you.

  I would start also thinking about puppy class. He will have fun and you can learn alot more from your trainer. Even though your dog will not weigh a 100 pounds--like a rottweiler, he will still cause you alot of grief if this kind of behavior continues. He will be snappy especially with children, not listen to you, and do whatever he wants whenever he wants to. I know people who don't sit on their couch because the little dog will bite them if they sit on HIS couch. This is not a relationship it is slavery to the dog!! Best of luck to you,
