All I need is a little info. Recently I went with a friend to look at a litter of maltese. The mother was white but the father was gray. I questioned this and the owner told me maltese come in gray also. This left doubts in my mind because I always thought Maltese were just white. I am a Pom breeder and am aware of other small breeds. Needless to say we walked away. My young friend asked me to go with her because I might have more insight into puppies than she. We left quickly because it was not the best sanitary conditions and the owner, I think, was a slick talker. Could you please e-mail me an answer to the color problem. I thank you very much. • It's good that your freind has a freind like you. You gave her good advise. Maltese are not gray. They are always white. You also did right by leaving quickly with regards to the sanitary conditions. I think I've heard about this Michigan breeder you're speaking of from someone else. I don't know why she doesn't get into the automobile business. I think she would be much happier their. Good luck with your search. I'm sure your freind will find what she is looking for. Try calling a Maltese breed club near you. Maybe they can refer you to someone. -Jay
