How long is a male Maltese suppose to live?

How long are you "suppose" to live? 70-80-90?? All depends on how you take care of yourself and your Luck out there in the real world. AVERAGE-14 years. Could be 5 years more or 10 years less.
I have a maltese that will be 16 years old on January 21. While she now spends much of her time sleeping, when she is awake, she goes just fine, especially considering she is now totally blind. She has had Cushings for almost 7 years now, which goes beyond usual prognosis. But then, she has always been a real little determined things, 5 lbs of pure will power, that does whatever she wants and has never been afraid of anything. While I know she is in the sunset of her years, I am hoping Jay is correct and she goes 14, plus 5. -Rebecca
