allergies
We think a maltese would be a very great pet, but are unsure about getting one. How do Maltese fair in homes where the residents have allergies to dog dander, dust, mold spores, and pollen? -Sandy
- My son has had asthma since he was two years old. His allergy
tests showed allergies to just about everything, including animal dander. I
also had begun to notice allergic reactions of my own and would break out in
a rash and become asthmatic when grooming our Lab and Golden Retriever. I
noticed that my son and I did not seem to have any allergic reaction to a
friends Maltese and decided to take a chance and get one of our own. We are
thrilled. We have had her for two years and she doesn't bother our
allergies at all. She is the cleanest dog we have ever had. She doen't
shed and she never gets doggy odor like most dogs. She stays in the house
and sleeps on my sons bed. She has been a delight. P.S. For some reason
short haired dogs seem to bother our allergies the worst.--Tracy
