Does anyone know of a product that acts like the pill does for humans? I have a male and 2 bitches and have had one accidental breeding - I usually try to separated them physically, but this is not always possible (I send the bitch in heat to my parents) Also, how many breedings should a bitch have before being fixed? sirbear@mgl.ca

• I have never heard of a birth-control pill for dogs. Human birth control pills are not effective in dogs. I have heard of a hormone injection which prevented the bitch from coming into heat, but it was discovered that it predisposed dogs to uterine infections and sterility.--Jay
