Jumping,biting,etc.

We have a 15 wk old Male Maltese who has been in the home for about 4 weeks. He is becoming familiar with us and the home & is now showing his playful side. However, when we are sitting on the floor playing with him, he will charge at you from across the room & jump at your face & nip whatever he comes in contact with i.e. chin, nose etc. A firm no stops him temporarily until he does it again. Is this normal play or aggressive behavior?

• My puppy does that to us all the time. At first I thought that he was just having fun. But after awhile, he became more aggressive. That was when I decided to put a stop to this behaviour. You have to let him know that this is not the way play with you. Whenever my puppy does that, I'll stop playing with him and tell him "NO! DON'T BITE ME!" He got the message after a few days.
