My maltese is loosing her hair

My 9 month old maltese started sheeding notoriously a couple of months ago. Now the hair in the belly and the back of her hindlegs is very scarce. The skin underneath looks healthy, though. Does anyone know a possible cause for this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

• Your Maltese's diet might have something to do with this sudden hair loss. This is unusual for a 7-9 month old pup. I would like to make two suggestions.

  
  1. Change her diet to a lamb/rice formula(try Iams).
  2. Take her to the vet and a get a complete checkup and explain your problem.
